We are holding Indeed Tech Talk #1 in November of this year to introduce you to our company mission, “We Help People Get Jobs.” We are inviting talented engineers from outside our company to an interesting series of talks that “peek behind the curtain” of one of the biggest foreign engineering organisations in Tokyo. Indeed's engineering leadership will hold various Tech Talks to help you understand what goes on here at Indeed Tokyo. If you are excited about the latest technological trends and culture, this is a must-attend event!

Attendee Experience

Presentations organized by Indeed Tech Leaders in Tokyo with experts across a range of topics from our Job Seeker, Employer, and Search Quality teams.
An introduction to Indeed followed by networking sessions where you can talk more closely with our speakers, engineers, and engineering managers.
If you are interested in positions at Indeed, you can also talk with our recruiting team.
Who can attend

People who work as; Software Engineer, Software Engineering Manager and related field in tech industry.

Notes

All of the sessions will be held in English.
We will provide food and drinks at the event.
*Drinking alcohol by those under the age of 20 is strictly prohibited by law.
Please be advised that photos taken of you at this event may be shown on our official website.
We ask you to refrain from attending for the purpose of sales and recruiting Indeed employees.

Joey Tan | Site Director, Tokyo Tech

Joey oversees the growth of the three Tokyo Tech offices. Prior to joining Indeed here in Tokyo, Joey lived in southern California, leading engineering teams at companies like Deluxe and Sony PlayStation.

Jet Villegas | Director of Engineering, Indeed Apply team

Jet’s team is responsible for Job Applications at Indeed. Prior to joining Indeed last year, he led the Firefox Browser Rendering team at Mozilla and the Flash engineering team at Adobe.

Yuto Yamaguchi | Tech Lead, Software engineer, Search Quality team

Yuto is working on Candidate Recommendation, which recommends the best candidates to a given job. His work ranges from improving machine learning models and conducting online AB tests, to developing data pipelines and recommendation serving systems. Before joining Indeed, he worked as a researcher, mainly focusing on Data Mining, Machine Learning, and Social Network Analysis.

Rahul Kurup | Engineering Manager, SMB Employer Mobile

Rahul is working on the Employer mobile engagement team. His team is building amazing tools that help employers connect with millions of job seekers every day. Outside of work, Rahul enjoys traveling, hiking and is a hardcore foodie. Before joining Indeed Tokyo, he led platform engineering teams at Scout24, Berlin, and an ONTAP migration team at NetApp, Bangalore.
